No.F.1/121/2007-R-II)TWO SCIENTISTS- SB(PHYSICAL-CIVIL) IN NATIONAL TEST HOUSE, DEPARTMENT OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS, MINISTRY OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS, FOOD AND PUBLIC DISTRIBUTION.  Out of two posts, one post is reserved for OBC candidates.  The posts are also suitable for Orthopaedically Handicapped(one leg affected) persons. QUALIFICATIONS : ESSENTIAL : A. EDUCATIONAL : Master’s Degree in Physics(Pure/Applied) or Chemistry(Pure/Applied/Industrial) or degree in Chemical Technology/Civil Engineering of a recognized University or equivalent.  B. EXPERIENCE  :  Three years’ practical experience of testing and evaluation of building materials employing physical methods of analysis.  DESIRABLE :  Specialized knowledge of modern methods of testing soil for engineering purposes/refractory materials/heat insulating materials/cement/timber etc. DUTIES :  The Scientist SB is the overall in-charge of  Laboratory.  Scrutinizes the test requests of Scientist SC/ forwarding letter regarding feasibility of testing in the laboratory, test  charge and obtains clarification from the client relating to tests, if required.   Allocate the sample to the Scientific Officers/Assistants.  Supervise day-to-day work and sorts out  the technical/administrative problems.   HQ :  Kolkata / Mumbai / Chennai / Jaipur / Guwhati and Ghaziabad.

QUALIFICATIONS : ESSENTIAL : A. EDUCATIONAL :  M.Sc Degree in Chemistry from a recognized University or equivalent.  B. EXPERIENCE  :  Three years’ experience of drug analysis involving use of modern scientific instruments.  DESIRABLE :  i)  Doctorate Degree in the above subject.  ii) Experience in analysis and standardization of homoeopathic drugs in a Homoeopathic Laboratory/Institution.   DUTIES :  Laying down of standards of homoeopathic drugs to be published in HPI/HP Codex.  Testing of samples under Drugs & Cosmetics Act including Survey Samples.

5.(Ref. No.F.1/87/2007-R-VI) ONE SENIOR ASSISTANT CONTROLLER OF MINES IN INDIAN BUREAU OF MINES, MINISTRY OF MINES.  QUALIFICATIONS :  ESSENTIAL : A. EDUCATIONAL  :  Degree in Mining Engineering from a recognised University or equivalent.  B. EXPERIENCE :  Five years experience in Supervisory capacity in Metalliferious Mines or a Government Department dealing with Metalliferious Mines.  DESIRABLE :  i) Post –graduate degree in Mining Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.  ii) Working knowledge of computer with special emphasis on commonly used software in offices.  DUTIES :  Inspection of Mines for systematic development of Mines, conservation of Minerals and protection of Mines environment under the Mines and Minerals(Development and Regulation) Act 1957 and rules made there under.  To advise the mine owners on the adoption of appropriate technology for prospecting and mining; utilization of low grade minerals and rejects; protection of environment in mining areas.

6.(Ref. No.F.1./90/2007-R-II) FOUR JUNIOR SCIENTIFIC OFFICERS (PSYCHOLOGY) IN INDIAN RAILWAYS, MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS. Railways Service.  Out of four posts, one post is reserved for OBC candidates.  Of the four posts, one post is reserved for Physically Handicapped persons with disability of Hearing Impairment(viz. Partially Deaf / Deaf) belonging to any community.  These posts are also suitable for Physically Handicapped persons with disability of Hearing Impairment.   QUALIFICATIONS : ESSENTIAL :  A. EDUCATIONAL  :  Master’s Degree in Psychology from a recognised University or equivalent.  B. EXPERIENCE :  Two  years practical experience in Psychology or administration of intelligence aptitude and personality test including experience in occupational counselling  and selection of candidates for job allocation and placement.  DESIRABLE :  Two years experience in accident research.  DUTIES :  Administration of Psychological aptitude tests.  Case studies of railway staff involved in accidents. 7.(Ref. No.F.1/89/2007-R-VI) ONE DEPUTY DIRECTOR(WEAVING), IN THE OFFICE OF DEVELOPMENT COMMISSIONER FOR HANDLOOMS, MINISTRY OF TEXTILES. QUALIFICATIONS : ESSENTIAL : A. EDUCATIONAL  :  Degree in Textile Technology of  a recognized University or Institution or equivalent.  OR Diploma in Handloom Technology of a recognized Institution or equivalent.  B. EXPERIENCE :  7 years’ experience (9 years’ in the case of Diploma holders in Handloom Technology) in a Textile Weaving production establishment or Institute out of which at least 2 years should have been in Handlooms.     DESIRABLE :  i) Knowledge of handloom weaving machinery and handloom  products.  ii) Adequate knowledge of various handloom Industries in the country. DUTIES : To be in charge of Weavers Service Centre and attend to all Administrative work when required including supervision  of day to day work in the Weaving Section of the Centre.  To undertake development work relating  to production of new fabrics suitable for domestic and export market and other technical advice to Handloom Industry.

8.(Ref. No.F.1/88/2007-R-VI) ONE DEPUTY DIRECTOR(PROCESSING) IN THE OFFICE OF DEVELOPMENT COMMISSIONER FOR HANDLOOMS, MINISTRY OF TEXTILES.  QUALIFICATIONS : ESSENTIAL : A. EDUCATIONAL  :  Degree in Textile Chemistry or Chemical Technology of a recognized University or equivalent.  B. EXPERIENCE  :  7 years experience in a responsible capacity as a Dyer, Bleacher or Finisher in a Textile processing factory or Establishment or Institute.   DESIRABLE :  i) Knowledge of preparation of dyes and intermediates.  ii) Knowledge of processing and dyeing of  fabrics other than textile.  DUTIES :  To be in charge of Weavers’ Service centre and attend to all administrative work  when required including supervision  of day-to-day work of Dyeing and Printing Section of the Centre.   To undertake experimental work in the dyeing of all type of yarn and dyeing, printing and finishing of all kinds of fabric.  To survey the dyeing, printing and finishing units in the Handloom Industry.

No.F.1/158/2007-R-I) ONE SENIOR LECTURER-CUM-EPIDEMIOLOGIST (COMMUNITY MEDICINE) IN THE GOVERNMENT MEDICAL COLLEGE & HOSPITAL, CHANDIGARH, DEPARTMENT OF MEDICAL EDUCATION AND RESEARCH, CHANDIGARH ADMINISTRATION.   QUALIFICATIONS : ESSENTIAL :  A. EDUCATIONAL : i) A  basic University or equivalent qualification included in any one of the schedules to Indian Medical Council Act, 1956(102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register.  ii) M.D.(Social and Preventive Medicine)/M.D.(Community Medicine) from a recognized University/Institution or equivalent.  B. EXPERIENCE : Three years’   teaching experience in the concerned speciality after acquiring  post- graduate  qualification as Lecturer / Registrar / Senior Resident/Demonstrator/Tutor in a recognized Medical College/Teaching Institution.   NOTE : I :  The Medical qualifications possessed by the candidates should have the recognition of the MCI.     NOTE  :  II :  In so far as post graduate  medical qualifications awarded by Indian Universities are concerned, they should also find a place in the Schedules to Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, as amended from time to time.  NOTE :  III : Teaching experience in any other post like the post of General Duty Medical Officer/Medical Officer shall not be considered for eligibility purpose for recruitment to the teaching posts. DUTIES :  Teaching the under-graduate (MBBS) and post –graduate students in the Govt. Medical College, Chandigarh and providing other clinical services in the attached teaching hospital.  HQ :  Govt. No.F.1/64/2007-R-I) ONE MEDICAL OFFICER (AYURVEDA)IN THE DIRECTORATE OF MEDICAL AND HEALTH SERVICE, UNION TERRITORY ADMINISTRATION OF DAMAN & DIU.   The post is also suitable for Orthopaedically Handicapped persons.  QUALIFICATIONS  : ESSENTIAL:    EDUCATIONAL  :  i) A Degree in Ayurveda of a recognized Univesity/Statutory State Board/Council/Faculty of Indian Medicine or equivalent recognized under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970.  ii)  Enrolment of the Central  or State Register of Indian Medicine.   DUTIES :  Consulting indoor and outdoor patients. 11.(Ref. No. F.1/71/2007-R-I) ONE SPECIALIST GRADE-II(JUNIOR SCALE) IN PSYCHIATRY, HEALTH  DEPARTMENT, GOVERNMENT OF UNION TERRITORY OF PUDUCHERRY.   The post is also suitable for persons with locomotor disability  of not more than 50% as specified below:-  i)  Amputation -  Total impairment up to 40% but limited to 20% in each limb.  ii) There should be functional thumb, index finger and middle finger on both upper limbs.  iii) There should be no disability in terms of loss of movement of joints other than fingers and toes.  iv)  The loss of muscle power should not be more than 20% and  v) There should be no disability in terms of sensory loss or coordination of limbs.   QUALIFICATIONS : ESSENTIAL :  A.  EDUCATIONAL    :    i)   A recognized  medical  qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule(other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.  Holders of educational qualifications included in Part –II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in Sub-section(3) of Section 13 of the IMC Act, 1956    ii) Post-Graduate Degree/Diploma in the concerned speciality i.e., M.D (Psychiatry), MD(Psychological Medicine), Speciality Board of Psychiatry and Neurology(USA), D.P.M of two years course, Diploma in Psychiatry(Edin) of two years course, Diploma in Psychiatry(M.C. Gill) University, Montreal, Canada of two years course or D.P.M(one year course) or equivalent. B. EXPERIENCE : Three years’ experience in the concerned speciality after obtaining Post-graduate Degree or five years’ experience after obtaining the Post-graduate  Diploma.  NOTE : I  &  II : Same as in Item No. 9 above. NOTE  : III :  Holders of Speciality Board of USA qualifications should complete the entire requirements of the Board concerned.  DESIRABLE :  Knowledge of local language/dialects prevalent in the area i.e. Tamil, Malyalam or Telugu will be advantage to the candidates applying for the post.  DUTIES :  In- charge of independent unit in the concerned Speciality.  OPD and ward duties in the Hospital, supervision of the work of Medical officers attached to the unit and conducting operations, whenever necessary.  HQ :  Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe or Yanam.  Puducherry and Karaikal surrounded by Tamilnadu, Mahe surrounded by Kerala & Yanam surrounded by Andhra Pradesh.
