UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING POSTS

1. (Ref. No.F.1/274/2006-R-II) ONE JUNIOR SCIENTIFIC OFFICER (TOXICOLOGY) IN CENTRAL FORENSIC SCIENCE LABORATORIES UNDER THE DIRECTORATE OF FORENSIC SCIENCE, MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS. The post is reserved for Scheduled Tribes candidates. QUALIFICATIONS : ESSENTIAL : A. EDUCATIONAL : Master’s Degree in Chemistry/Bio-chemistry/Pharmacology/Pharmacy/Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subjects at Bachelor of Science level from a recognized University or equivalent. B. EXPERIENCE : Two years’ experience of analytical method and research therein in the relevant field. DUTIES : To assist the Assistant Director(Toxicology), CFSLs in the research work; in the examination of Crime exhibits, in receipt of stores and equipments and day to day functioning of the Laboratory. HQ : Kolkata / Chandigarh / Hyderabad but liable to serve anywhere in India.

2. (Ref. No.F.1/342/2006-R-VI) TWO RESEARCH OFFICERS (ELECTRONICS AND INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEERING) IN CENTRAL WATER & POWER RESEARCH STATION, PUNE, MINISTRY OF WATER RESOURCES. Of the 2 posts, 1 post is reserved for OBC candidates. Out of 2 posts, 1 post is reserved for Physically Handicapped persons(i.e. Hearing Impairment ) of any community. These posts are also suitable to be held by persons with disability(i.e. Hearing Impairment) . QUALIFICATIONS : ESSENTIAL : EDUCATIONAL : Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics / Electronics and Telecommunication / Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent. DESIRABLE : i ) Master’s Degree in Electronics/Electronics and Telecommunication/Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent. ii) Research experience in the field of Electronics/Electronics and Telecommunication/Instrumentation Engineering. DUTIES : Design and develop of transducers, signal conditioners, Instrumentation and control system for measurement of hydraulic parameters. Operation and maintenance of various Electronics equipments/system. HQ : Khadakwasla near Pune but liable to serve anywhere in India.

N.B. The age limit shown against Post at S.No1. is relaxed age limit for ST candidates. The age limit shown against Posts at S.No.2 is normal age limit and only in this case age is relaxable for OBC candidates upto 3 years in respect of post reserved for them. AGE IS ALSO RELAXABLE FOR CENTRAL/UT GOVT SERVANTS UPTO FIVE YEARS AS PER THE INSTRUCTIONS ISSUED BY GOVT OF INDIA FROM TIME TO TIME. .
