QUALIFICATIONS : ESSENTIAL :
A. EDUCATIONAL : i) :
A recognised medical
qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule
or Part II of the Third Schedule(Other than Licentiate Qualifications) of
the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders
of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should
also fulfil the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of Section 13 of the
IMC Act, 1956. ii) Post Graduate degree qualification in the speciality i.e.
M.S.(Orthopaedics), M.Ch(Orthopaedics), Speciality Board of Orthopaedics
Surgery(USA) or equivalent. B.
EXPERIENCE : Three years teaching
experience in the concerned speciality in a recognised Medical
College/Institution as Lecturer/Tutor/Demonstrator/Registrar/Sr.
Resident after acquiring the requisite post graduate degree
qualification. NOTE
:I : The Medical qualifications possessed
by the candidates should have the recognition of the
Medical Council of India. NOTE
: II: In so far as post graduate
medical qualifications awarded by Indian Universities are concerned, they should
also find a place in the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, as
amended from time to time. NOTE
: III:
Teaching experience in any other post like the posts of General Duty
Medical Officer/Medical Officer shall
not be considered for eligibility purpose for recruitment to teaching posts. NOTE:
IV: Holders of speciality Board of
USA should complete the entire requirements of the Board concerned. DUTIES :
To impart theoretical and practical instructions to under graduate/post
graduate medical students. To conduct and guide research work in the speciality.
To render patient care in
the speciality. ANY OTHER
CONDITIONS : (A)
Private practice of any kind whatsoever shall not be allowed including
any consultation and laboratory practice. (B)
The candidates selected shall, if so required, be liable to serve in any
Defence Service, or post connected with the Defence of India for a period of not
less than four years including the period spent on training, if any, provided
that : he/she shall not be required
to serve as aforesaid after the expiry of 10 years from the date of his/her
appointment to the service or from the date of his/her joining the service. ii)
he/she shall
not ordinarily be required
to serve as aforesaid if he/she has obtained the age of 45 years.

in charge of Rig Unit, Vehicle equipment and staff. Guide drill staff in operation and safety measures.
Organise and supervise transportation of rig and equipment drilling

Responsible for operation, maintenance and up keep of rig, equipment and
vehicles deployed and their utilisation. Administrative,

Degree in Homoeopathy of a

I (No.F.1/286/2003-R-I/SPC-I) Recruitment of 45 Medical Officers(Ayurveda) in Municipal Corporation of Delhi. (Ref. UPSC Advt. No. SPL-3/2004, Item No. 01 published in the leading Newspapers/Employment News on 13-3-2004). It is notified for general information that the reservation position of 45 posts of Medical Officers(Ayurveda) has been changed from SC-07, OBC-12,ST-03, UR-22 & PH(ORTHO)-01 TO SC-07,OBC-12, ST-03 and UR-23 and out of 45 posts, one post is reserved for PH(ORTHO)persons who may be from any community. IMPORTANT:
A Written Objective Type Test will be conducted and followed by Interview for
selection of the candidates to the post. Marks
obtained in written test will be added to the marks obtained in the interview to
decide the final result. However,
the Commission, at its discretion, may short list the applicants for interview
based upon a reasonable criteria e.g. higher qualifications and/ or experience
in place of written test. This
issue of Employment News carries two application forms/formats-one for
Recruitment Test and the other for Recruitment by Selection.
Applicants for the posts of Ayurvedic Physician/Medical Officers (Ayurveda)/Research
Officers (Ayurveda) in N.D.M.C./ Pondicherry Administration/Andaman &
Nicobar Administration/ Ministry of Health & Family Welfare/M. C. D. must
use only the format for Recruitment Test published under Adv. No.
SPL/ 54 /2005. Applications submitted in any other format will
not be accepted and liable to be rejected. Candidates must write name of the
Ministry/Department/Administration at the space provided in appropriate Column. SCHEME
AND SYLLABUS FOR TEST:. The
test will be of two hours duration and will carry a maximum of 100 marks.
The test will be of objective type questions with multiple choices.
The Syllabus of the Test :- Part (A) : This shall broadly cover all the areas like –
Maulick Sidhanta, Padartha vigyan, Astanga Sangraha, Rachna Sharira, Kriya
Sharira, Rasa Shastra avam Bheshajya Kalpana, Dravyaguna vigyan, Agad tantra,
Vyavhar Ayurveda avam Vidhi Vaidyaka, Rog Vigyan avam Vikriti Vigyanam, Charaka
Samhita, Wsastha Vritta, Kaya chikitsa, Shalya Tantra, Shalakya Tantra, Prasuti
Tantra and Striroga, Kaumara Bhritya which are normally included in the B.A.M.S.
(AYURVEDA) programme of the Indian Universities.(90 Questions) Part (B): This
shall broadly cover the General Studies topics like Public Health, Environmental
issues, Social Welfare, General Science, Governance issues, Current events of
general awareness, Quantitative aptitude and Mental ability. (30
Questions). The
questions of the test will be set in both
English and Hindi.
The candidates will be called for interview in order of their merit in
the Recruitment Test. The number of candidates called will be a multiple of the vacancies reserved
in each category viz. SC/ST/OBC/ General (UR) as decided by the
Commission. Respective
weightage of the written test and
the interview will be 50:50. A duly signed passport size photograph of the
candidates is required to be affixed on
the application format on the space provided for it. Candidates are required to
send only one application in the prescribed format only for the post.
Applications without fee, photograph , declaration not signed by the
candidates and choice of centre will be rejected. Similarly, applications received late and received from over
aged candidates will also be rejected.
Two self addressed envelopes (28 cms X 12 cms) are to be enclosed
alongwith the applications. No
other documents are to be sent. Applicants are
required to indicate only one centre of their choice in the application. Change of Centre will not be permitted to any
candidate in any circumstances. Candidates are cautioned that if any one appears
at the centre not allotted to him/her by the commission, his/her answer sheets
will not be valued. The
recruitment test may be held at all or any of the following Centres on 11th
December, 2005 (Sunday):- Candidates are advised to fill up Column 12 of the
