      The Information System Wing of the Commission is headed by Executive Director (IS), who is an officer of Senior Administrative Grade level.  The Branch looks after processing of information relating to Examination, Recruitment, Appointments and other branches and provide support function to all branches relating to system area maintenance of computer hardware and software. 

 2.  The IS Wing consists of mainly four Branches viz. Post Examination, Pre Examination, System and Data Preparation (DP) Branch. 

 3.  System Branch deals with processing of information in the computer system and maintenance of various information softwares and equipments.  The maintenance of the website of the UPSC is also being done by the System Branch of the IS Wing.

 4.  The Data Preparation (DP) Branch deals with physical entry of data in the computers and manual verification of the same.                                                                                                    PageTop

R.T.I ACT – ACTION TAKEN REPORT

·        Notification of appointment of 11 CPIOs and 2 Appellate Authorities has already been issued vide No.A-60011/8/2005-Admn.I dated 8/9/2005 and copies forwarded to DOP&Trg. alongwith D.O. letter from Secretary, UPSC.

·        The information to be placed in website pertaining to Administration Division and O&M Division after the approval of the Commission has been sent to ED(IS) on 26/9/2005 alongwith soft copy.

·        The information from other Branches/wings of the Commission (except S-II) has been received and sent for the Commission’s approval. 

        Training of CPIOs and other staff is to be conducted with the help of ISTM. ISTM is requested accordingly.
