PRESS NOTE        

On the basis of result of the written part of the GEOLOGISTS’ EXAMINATION, 2009 held by Union Public Service Commission in December, 2009 the candidates with the under mentioned Roll Numbers have qualified for  Interview/Personality Test. 

2.         The candidature of all these candidates is PROVISIONAL subject to their being found eligible in all respects.  In accordance with the condition(s) of their admission to the examination, the candidates should keep original certificates in support of their age, educational qualification, claim to belong to the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/OBC etc. in readiness for submission at the time of their interview which would be contingent upon their producing requisite documents. 

3.         Detailed Application Forms (D.A.Fs.) along with Gazette Notification dated 20^th June, 2009 containing Rules of Geologists’ Examination, 2009  and Summary Sheet  are being sent to all the written qualified candidates  by the post. The Detailed Application Form along with Gazette Notification and Summary Sheet is also available on the Commission’s Website  http://www.upsc.gov.in’. The candidates have the option to download the same. The candidate may note that they are required to submit either the   Detailed Application Form and Summary Sheet downloaded from the UPSC website or the Detailed Application Form and Summary Sheet received by them by post from the Commission, before being called for Interview/Personality Test.  In case any candidate is unable to download or does not receive the D.A.F sent by the Commission, he/she should immediately contact the Commission in the matter on Telephone No.011-23385271/23381125/23098543/23098591Ext.4315 or on Fax No. 011-23387310, giving his/her particulars/details (i.e. Name of the Examination, Full Name, Roll number, Date of birth and Address etc.  

 4.        The marks of candidates who have not qualified,shall be available on the Commission’s Website within one month from the publication of the  result and would be  available on the Website for a period  of 60 days.  The candidates will have access to the marks-sheet only after keying in their Roll Number and date of birth.  The printed/hard copies of the marks-sheet only would, however, be issued to candidates on specific request received from them accompanied by self addressed stamped envelope.  The candidates desirous of obtaining  printed/hard copies of the marks-sheet should make written request within thirty days of the display of the marks on the Commission’s Website, beyond which no such requests would be entertained.  

5.         The result is also available on the Union Public Service Commission website ‘http://www.upsc.gov.in’.
