The Union Public
Service Commission will hold a Limited Departmental Competitive Examination on
20th December, 2009 for promotion to the post of Assistant
Commandants in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
The Examination will be held at New Delhi. The tentative number of
vacancies to be filled on the basis of the Examination will be 20 (General-16;
SC-3; ST-1)

The
Examination is restricted to only certain categories of departmental candidates
of CISF. The details regarding
eligibility conditions, scheme and syllabus of examination, physical and medical
standard etc. are specified in the Rules of the Examination published by
Ministry of Home Affairs.

The
candidates should apply in the Application Form for this Examination, which can
be obtained from the office of Sector IGs, Zonal DIGs and Unit Commander OR
downloaded from the CISF website at address :
: www.cisf.gov.in. In
case of any difficulty in obtaining the Application Form, the candidate should
immediately contact their Unit Commander
4.
Address and Last Date for receipt of Applications:
All applications
must reach the Director General, Central Industrial Security Force, 13, CGO
Complex, Lodi Road, New Delhi-110003 either by hand or by Post/Speed Post or
by Courier, on or before the 25th November, 2009.
(Candidates should note that they should not send their applications to
the Commission’s office). However, in respect of applications received only by
post/ speed post/ diplomatic bag from the candidates residing/posted in Assam,
Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu
& Kashmir, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba
District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands or Lakshadweep or
abroad, the last date for receipt of applications is 2nd
December, 2009. The benefit
of extended time will be available only in respect of applications received by
post/Speed post and diplomatic bag (in respect of employees posted in Indian
Missions abroad only) from the above-mentioned areas/ regions.
In the case of applications received by hand or through courier service,
benefit of extended time will not be available regardless of the place of
residence/posting of the applicant.
Mobile Phones are banned in the Campus
of UPSC Examination Halls.
