A Combined Limited Departmental Competitive Examination for additions in
the Select Lists for the Section Officers’ Grade and Stenographers’
Grade-I/Grade ‘B’ of the Services mentioned below will be held by the Union
Public Service Commission commencing on the 26th December,
2006 at CHENNAI, DELHI, KOLKATA, MUMBAI and NAGPUR

AVAILABILITY
OF APPLICATION FORM
: Application forms and full details are obtainable from
Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New
Delhi-110069 by remitting Rs.20.00 (Rupees Twenty only) by Money Order or on
Cash payment at U.P.S.C. Counter from 24th July, 2006.
Candidates must clearly state on Money Order
coupons “S.Os’/Stenographers’ (Grade ‘B’/Grade-I) Limited Departmental
Competitive Examination, 2005” and also give their names and full postal
addresses in block letters.
Payment by any other mode viz. Indian Postal Orders, Cheque, Currency
notes, etc. is not acceptable in lieu
of Money Order.

DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS
: 18th September, 2006.
In the case of applications received by post (by post) from the
candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal
Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir,
Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal
Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands or Lakshadweep and
for candidates residing abroad, the last date for receipt of applications
is 25th September, 2006.
The benefit of extended time will be available only in respect of
applications received by Post/Speed Post and Diplomatic Bag (in respect of
employees posted in Indian Missions abroad only) from the above mentioned
areas/regions. In the case of
applications received by hand or Courier Service, benefit of extended time will
not be available, regardless of the place of residence of the applicant.

: UPSC has a Facilitation Counter near “C” Gate of its campus.
Candidates may obtain any information/clarification regarding their
application/candidature on working days between 10.00
hours to 17.00 hours in person or over Telephone
